Single Slope Animal Shelter

Shelter that keeps stock covered and the bedding dry.

The Single Slope Animal Shelter runs a front wall of at least 100 inches down to an 84 inch rear wall on a 3/12 pitch, so water clears the building and the usable height sits where the animals come and go. A 4x6 pressure treated perimeter base takes the ground contact and resists rot.

As the building gets longer, the layout opens up: add stalls, add dividers, or give up a bay to a tack room for feed and gear. Pothier Motors Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram can lay out the stall count with you before anything is built.

What's Included

Standard on every Single Slope Animal Shelter, before you add a single upgrade.

1-1/4in pressure treated kick boards, roughly 4ft high and spaced 1-1/2in apart
8ft wide standard stall opening
One stall per 12ft of length -- 10x12 and 10x20 give one stall, 10x24 gives two
Additional stalls, including the opening and divider, available at extra cost
4x6in pressure treated perimeter base to resist rot
Set directly on the ground with no blocking -- the site must be level and ready before delivery
Tack room is not included as standard

Adding a Tack Room

A tack room is the most common change people make to this building. Here is how it affects the layout.

Allow at least 4ft of length on top of the 12ft each stall requires
Placement starts at an outside end wall; starting at an interior divider wall carries an added cost
Tongue and groove or engineered panel flooring
OSB divider wall between the tack room and the adjoining stall
3ft wooden barn door standard, upgradeable to a 4ft door
